Western Riding is more than hitting the trails or fields.  Western riding is often seen in the arena through competitions and in fun.  In both Western and English riding, what you are riding on matters.

In the past, there was no solution to the impact of sand on a horse's joints and performance. Fortunately, a new development has arisen that East-West Arena Construction has utilized to create an arena for optimum performance. Using a blend of sand, textiles and fibers, East-West creates a riding surface that is incomparable to traditional sand.

Similar to turf, GGT footing has a minimum impact resistance while creating enough tension to stabilize the sand particles; reducing the slipping and sliding effect regular sand can often have.

Benefits of East-West Arena's GGT footing includes:

  • Stability
  • Energy absorption, which means less compression on horses joints
  • Reduces dust
  • Retains moisture
  • Non-toxic and non-allergenic
  • Can be added to your current sand as an additive

In addition to providing the best quality riding surface, East-West creates an arena design that will fit your needs and budget.  Whether you are building at home or creating a commercially used arena, we can build it.
